Dynamic .NET TWAIN

This is a component for integrating TWAIN compatible scanners to your web application.

Dynamic Web TWAIN is a TWAIN scanning SDK. This development kit has been optimized for web application use. This ActiveX/Plugin allows you to access a connected scanner from JavaScript & HTML code of a web page. You will be able to scan documents from TWAIN scanners as well as digital cameras/capture cards. The images acquired could be edited and saved in different file formats of your choice. You could manage them through document management systems like the file system, database, SharePoint, or other Enterprise Content Management (ECM) systems. Dynamic Web TWAIN runs as web browser ActiveX/Plugin. On the server side, it can support IIS, Tomcat, Apache, etc. Web browsers supported include IE x86/64, Firefox Chrome, Safari, Opera, etc. It is Windows compatible and a version exists that works for the Mac platform. Languages supported on the server side include ASP.NET (C#/VB.NET), PHP, JSP, ASP, VB.NET, etc. On the client side, JavaScript, JQuery, VBScript, HTML5, HTML, etc. are supported.

This SDK is likely to be most completely TWAIN compliant tool as the developer company is part of the TWAIN standard group, and they contribute regularly to it. So if you need a very compatible tool that works well, this is a good bet. The end user interface made available through this SDK is simple to use.
